MAYOR RAZALEE SIGNS COOPERATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN ZANZIBAR MUNICIPALITY AND SWAKOPMUND

 



DAR ES SALAAM — The Mayor of Zanzibar Municipal Council, Mohamed Ibrahim Raza, popularly known as Razalee, has signed a cooperation agreement between the Zanzibar Municipal Council and the Municipality of Swakopmund in Namibia.

The signing ceremony took place on June 20, 2026, at the State House in Dar es Salaam, witnessed by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, and the President of the Republic of Namibia, Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah.

The agreement aims to strengthen cooperation between the two municipalities through the exchange of knowledge and best practices in urban development, local government administration, investment promotion, tourism, and public service delivery.

The signing formed part of a series of bilateral cooperation agreements between Tanzania and Namibia, reflecting the two countries' commitment to enhancing diplomatic relations and promoting sustainable development through partnerships between local government authorities.
